 Laminate Floor
There is no question that wood has been and might always be
the flooring material of choice. The problem is that not everyone can
afford hardwood floors. Beyond that, the process of obtaining and
maintaining wood floors is cumbersome and occurs every few years.
These floors are produced by laminating several hardwood plies
together to form the planks. Most engineered floors can be glued-down,
stapled-down or floated over a variety of sub-floors including wood, dry
concrete slabs and some types of existing flooring. Engineered hardwood
floors have cross-ply construction which reduces the
expansion/contraction of planks caused by variations in humidity and
allows these floors to be installed anywhere in the home
If you've ever had carpets or vinyl flooring you've probably had your
share of stains, spills, and rips that no matter what you do, you can't
quite wash out. With Easy regular cleaning cycles, laminate
floors can provide a much cleaner and healthier living environment when
compared to carpets. Less dust, pet dander, allergens and dust mites
accumulate on the surface, and the laminate surface will not hold
residual stain contaminants like a carpet will. Allergists will often
recommend to their patients the removal of carpets from the living
space.
Kids can play toys on it, the dog can run through with muddy paws,
the neighbor friends can visit with wet shoes, and the baby bottle
spills all over the floor... not a problem anymore! Laminate floors are
the perfect floor for busy families and growing households.
Laminate floors are super-versatile in that laminate flooring comes
in scores of colors, patterns, and designs. These floors are hard and
durable just like a laminate counter. Another big advantage to laminate
is competition.
